The AmbiXes website is publicly available on the world wide web and may be accessed by anyone who is online.
All visitors may listen to and download audio files according to the provisions set forward in the Terms of Use, Licence and Copyright Infringement Notice and according to all the laws and regulations that may apply.

Non-member visitors

AmbiXes does not collect any personal information (with the exception of IP Address) from visitors who are not registered. Nevertheless, all the activity information that may be recorded during the browsing, listening and downloading by the non-member visitors is used for the internal organization and uninterrupted function of the website.

Member profiles

To support the community and networking aspects of AmbiXes we encourage visitors to provide profile information, such as geographic location, occupation, etc and become AmbiXes members. This information is provided voluntarily at the sole discretion of each member and in addition, a member has the ability to decline to submit, modify or delete their profile information. If a member decides to submit personally identifiable information, AmbiXes will use this information to operate, maintain, and provide visitors the features and functionality of AmbiXes.
Depending on how you use the Site, your user name may be displayed throughout the Site and is therefore available to the public. All of your activities on the Site, including the audio samples you provide, will be identifiable to your user name. Therefore, if you associate your name with your user name, the people you have revealed your name to will be able to personally identify your AmbiXes.com activities.
AmbiXes will not use visitors’ contact details or other personal information to send commercial or marketing messages without consent. Furthermore, AmbiXes does not share any personal information with third party companies for their commercial or marketing use without the visitor’s consent. Nevertheless, AmbiXes may use a visitor’s email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes.
AmbiXes uses submitted and collected information to improve the quality and design of the AmbiXes platform, to provide custom, personalized content and information, to monitor statistics and to track members’ audio submissions. In doing so, AmbiXes may share personal information with its business partners and affiliates for the purposes of processing this information.

International visitors

AmbiXes is based in the European Union and is intended for and directed to visitors within the geographical boundaries of the European Union. Visitors accessing the website from other locations with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from the European Union laws, accept the transfer of their personal information to the European Union.

Under-age visitors

Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use AmbiXes and no part of the website is directed to children under the age of 13. If at any point AmbiXes becomes aware that a child under 13 years of age has posted personal information on the website, it will be deleted from our records.

AmbiXes makes every reasonable and consistent effort to protect and secure all visitors’ personal information and stores all information in limited access servers. AmbiXes uses technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of information.

In order to ensure maximum protection for recurring accounts, AmbiXes uses a state-of-the art tokenization system to manage payment information for recurring payments. This system uses a cryptographic key to store payment information but no credit card information is stored on the server.

However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. No security system is impenetrable and risks of breach exist in any system.

If AmbiXes becomes aware of a security systems breach, then all necessary steps to correct such a breach will be taken and AmbiXes may attempt to notify visitors electronically so that they can take appropriate protective steps.

COOKIES & LOG FILES

AmbiXes automatically receives and records information on our server logs from visitor’s browsers, including IP address, requested pages, sounds downloaded, number of clicks, time spent on pages, date and time, and other related information.

In order to uniquely identify visitors, AmbiXes collects information using both session cookies and persistent cookies. PROMOTIONS & SURVEYS

From time to time AmbiXes may ask for visitors’ participation in promotions, questionnaires or surveys that collect information for marketing, research or other purposes. In such cases AmbiXes will ask for visitors’ consent before the collection of any personal information outlining the uses that will be made. AmbiXes will not share any personal information collected for these purposes with third parties or companies without providing the ability for users to opt-in or opt-out.

Any personal information or file that you voluntarily submit or upload to the website forum as a comment or other public access areas of the website becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others. AmbiXes may collect and use such information (including email addresses) in order to respond or send relevant information but may not restrict others from doing so as well.

DISPUTES & DISCLOSURE

AmbiXes may use and disclose any personal or non-personally identifiable information, acting in good faith, when AmbiXes is required to do so. Such disclosure may be done in circumstances that would potentially mitigate its liability, or is necessary for AmbiXes to enforce its rights. Examples of these kind of circumstances would include the prevention or report of fraud and illegal activities, the resolution of disputes between members and third parties, the prevention of harm to any person, the enforcement of the AmbiXes Terms of Use, the protection of rights and property of its users etc.

Furthermore, in some circumstances, the authorities may compel the disclosure of information. AmbiXes will provide such information if required by the law when it is necessary to comply with the demands/requirements of the authorities or to respond to a court order, subpoena or search warrant.

CORPORATE CHANGES

AmbiXes reserves the right to sell, transfer, assign or otherwise reorganize a part or the whole of the Website or/and its assets, in which case all information that is attached to the Website will be transferred or reassigned accordingly. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. AmbiXes will notify visitors of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the website. Revised licences will be effective from the date of revision which appears within the Privacy Policy.
